Adrian Dyck named Week 12 Athlete of the Week

The Providence University College Pilots are once again a force within the MCAC’s men’s volleyball division this season. Currently sitting just 2 points back from the 1st-place Canadian Mennonite University Blazers, the Pilots have a game in hand going into the Christmas break and have lost just 8 sets up until this point - the least of any team in the Conference.

6'4" second-year Left side Adrian Dyck has had a huge impact on the Pilots’ season so far, averaging a whopping 17 kills per game. In Week 12, he and the Pilots edged the University of Winnipeg College Wesmen 3-2 (19-25, 25-10, 25-13, 20-25, 15-11). Dyck is in his 2nd year suiting up for the Pilots.

“Adrian has been an impact player for us right from the start and is a big reason why we have been successful so far this season” says PUC head coach, Scott Masterson.
“He is a very explosive and dynamic athlete who has a great work ethic and attitude.”

Despite the Pilots and Blazers sitting in front of the rest of the field, their win against the Wesmen created a vital four point gap between the Pilots and U of W. The men's field is extremely close through the first half of the season and almost every team will be within striking distance of a playoff spot. Dyck and the Pilots next host Universite de Saint Boniface on January 11th, the current men's volleyball rankings are as follows:
